Course you can. Ctrl Alt Retreat was made by freelancers to beat the always-on struggle, but we know that freelancers aren’t the only ones battling that. Our retreat is welcome to anyone who needs a little help detoxing from work, or life in general.
Abso-lutely. We’ve designed this day around a small group of people, all in the same boat. Come as you are, leave with a crew.
Just you, comfy clothes, and an open mind. Everything else – activities, food, the lot – is sorted. If there’s anything extra you’ll need for the day (maybe a raincoat, it is November after all) we’ll email you the week before. So don’t worry about a packing list. That’s our job, not yours.
Not if you don’t want to, it’s totally optional. There’s a phone basket at the door for anyone who wants the full digital detox – and you’ll be surprised at how good it feels to not have a phone in your hand for a few hours – but no one’s confiscating anything. If you need to check in, you check in.
Well, that’s a surprise – we can’t give away all our secrets. What we can tell you: every activity is a blast from the past. Think painting by numbers, friendship bracelet making, the lot. Guaranteed throwback.
Georgia’s a designer, and Amaia’s a copywriter. Both self-employed, both regularly overwhelmed with running the whole show, both one notification away from a breakdown. We’re equally rubbish at remembering to switch off on our own. But put us together, and somehow we’re great at stopping each other from burning out. And now, we’re doing it for you, too.
Nothing strenuous. Just a walk and some easy movement. If you need any adjustments, just let us know when you book.
Course we can, just flag it on the booking form and we’ll do our best to sort it. Whatever you need, we’ve got you covered. (Unless you’re allergic to fun. We can’t help with that.)
There are parking spaces if you’re driving, and we’ll send you the exact spot beforehand. If you’re hopping on the train, Winchester or Basingstoke are where you’ll find taxis available for the last leg. Don’t fancy travelling solo? We can pair you with someone else in the group for a lift.
